What does everyone use for oil in there wheeler?

TRUST ME ON THIS!!!!

 Over 25 years working on small engines for a living

 Use Amsoil 0W-40W Syn 4-stroke ATV oil. or Polaris makes a 0W-40W Syn ATV oil.

 It will make all the difference in cold weather starting, besides give you far Superior protection.

 It may cost more to do a oil change to begin with, but you can also run the Syn. longer..so it works out to be pretty close in cost in the end.

 For gear drive, use only something like the Amsoil 4 stroke ATV oil, as it is for a wet-clutch application. It has special additives that allow the use of the very slippery Syn. oil...yet your clutch won't slip.. If you use the wrong stuff, you could damage your clutch to the point that it slips so bad it's SHOT!

 DO NOT use just any Syn. with a gear drive, manual shift.

 For a CVT(belt drive) that has no oil bath transmission..you can use most other types of Syn. oils, but again I do suggest a ATV type oil. They are designed to take the heat of slow warm weather driving and very cold weather start up's.

 I use the Amsoil 0W-40W ATV and with all the cold weather we have had..my Honda has started all the way down to -30 below. It NEVER! did that on regular 10W-40W conventional oil.

Bufflehead I agree with you on that oil.  I have it in my Kawasaki 700 vtwin which i had up on Red lake this weekend.  It sat out in the cold overnight.  It got down to -18 and fired right up in the morning.  Amazing!  I recommend using the 0w-40W syn oil.
