Record ice out possible in the Ely area!!

The last several days have been fairly warm, but the night temp has dropped slightly below freezing in the Ely area.
Weather forecasts for the next 7 -10 days are unseasonably warm, so the already deteriorated ice will disappear rapidly.
Most rivers are now open, and there is a very good chance that many lakes will also be by next weekend, or earlier.

Most lakes in the Ely area should be open between tomorrow and Monday.  Rain and strong winds should knock them out.
Hopefully, we don't get the typical 30 inch snowfall sometime in April.
