The great fishing continues!  Only a few more days left for Walleye fishing.  The catch and release Sturgeon fishing has been good.  Many that are Walleye fishing are catching Sturgeon and some of those are switching over to target them.  They are great fun to catch and you never know when you are going to hook into that monster fish.

There is still some ice on the lake and it is moving around, yesterday the wind was pushing it in towards us and the boats had to get in the bay or river.  Fishing has still been excellent in the river.  There is not much current and the level is a couple of feet low right now.

There were many excellent reports again this week.  Many anglers have caught their personal bests and are having a great time. Here are a couple of pictures from the charter boats over the weekend.  Rob Kamps with a 28+ and Bob Lemke with a 30+ inch Walleyes both released.

Sturgeon harvest season opens April 24 – May 7 with catch-and-release allowed out of season.
Walleye season closes on April 14 and will re-open again on May 15
 Next winter we will have a NEW plowed ice road access
