Saturday 10/7 Morning Trip Report 6:00 am to 12:00 pm
Fished today with Dan Parsons and his dad Bob. Now, Dan is my kind of guy since he decided to fish on the same day he is getting married. Yes, you heard me right he planed to fish till 1:00 and had to be at the church by 3:00 pm. We trolled for a while with poor results so switched our focus to smallmouth. It didn't take long before we were making plenty of contact and boats were starting gather closer and closer as they continued to see the net being used. I'm sure many of you have experienced the same situation from time to time.

Even with the added pressure of all the new neighbors squeezing into the area we still had the hot hand today. Finally one boat yelled out to us "what's the secret". My reply was "Gray Poupon Mustard." The size of the bass were all respectable with only one being on the small side.

Dan's dad insisted that they end the trip on a high note since he was worried about getting to the church on time so we threw in the towel . When we got to the dock I figured we'd have to pry the rod out of Dan's hand because he'd of stayed another hour at least. Thank goodness his dad made the right decision and we wrapped at 12:00 pm.

Today's depths were 25 to 30 ft fishing an area where the bottom was strewn with smooth round rocks about 3 to 4 inches in size. I'm sure the Parson Boys will be contacting me in the future for another session.
