I have some extra trees from this spring's plantings.  Trees are in great condition and are mostly 18 - 24 inch bare root stock...they need a good home.
 
Here is what we have and well below retail costs...
 
Redosier Dogwood - 2950 at $0.50 each (order in bundles of 25)
 
Midwest Crabapple - 175 at $0.75 each (order in bundles of 25)
 
Common Chokecherry - 525 at $0.75 each (order in bundles of 25)
 
Common Lilac - 600 at $0.75 each (order in bundles of 25)
 
Plum - 150 at $0.75 each (order in bundles of 25)
 
Rocky Mountain Juniper - 75 at $1.00 each (order in bundles of 25)
 
 
To see what these trees look like, simply do an "image" search on any internet search site for the name of the tree...you should get lots of photos.

Most of these trees are 18 to 24 inch stock...so they are big!  Most are between 3 and 5 years old already so they are mature and ready to go.

Setting them out at the store for people but we can also ship.  If you want us to hang on to them for you until you get by to pick them up, we can do that as well.

We have more trees now...the nursery called and they want some help getting rid of more trees.

I am getting them listed on the web site but I am also on the field a lot.

You can go to www.HabitatNOW.com and then click on the on-line Habitat Outlet Store and then select the tree options to view what is listed so far.  I have a lot more to still get on there so you might check back in a few days for more trees.  I will try to post as well.

Thanks and hopefully we can find good homes for them.  Keep in mind these are pretty big trees...most are in the 18 to 24 inch tall range.

I will tell you what deer cant resist and that is the dogwoods.The herbivores browse them down to a stick as soon as they leaf out. I took the hardware cloth off the couple in the yard last week because they grew so much they did not fit in the protective cage. Well guess what.. they are browsed down to sticks again. Four years and I have yet to see a leaf on them near the fall of the year.

Deer do like dogwoods as browse...that is why they are such a good addition to the management plan.  But you do want to plant enough to have safety in numbers...the will pick on one, but if you have 50 of them they will just browse a little on each for example.

Deer usually just browse the "ends" which are the youngest and most desired growth for them.  Any tree with reddish ends the deer usually like as browse...popple, dogwood, willow, maple, sumac, etc.
