Hello??

Anything?

Now that the crowd has cleared I am heading up either tonight or in the morning, most likely tomorrow. I'm pretty excited to get back on the water again and destroy some walleyes! I haven't heard a single report from the lake except what is above. My prediction.... we will hammer them on the rocks in 12 - 15 fow using 1/32 jig heads tipped with leeches.

I'll have a report here wed or thursday.  :fishing2:

Its nice to see some fishing related reports, I fished off of browns and did well in the evening in about 8-12 feet. nice slot fish with an occasional hog. Lots of rock bass too. Time to fish now that the drunks left!

slips and leeches i havent noticed any preference to hooks or jigs ive been catching them on both.

Report from yesterday,5/20~

What a beautiful day yesterday to not only not work but to be on the water.I took my spry 82 year old pops out,our game plan was to work the north end from malmo west which we did, figured it would be the easist to fish for him and is usually the best this time of year,we pulled leeches and cralwers in various depths from 15' to 25fow and everywhere in between all the way to Wealthwood, for several hours we worked to boat 6 fish, two in the box the rest over largest was 25", luckly the old boy caught it  .

With that said folks, between the two of us we have over 80 years of experience on mille laces, even though we marked some fish they were either scattered or scarce,I'm leaning towards scarce, few boats were on the north end which I thought was odd for this time of year but not surprising with water temps @ 64 degrees, further south I could see 20-30 boats strung from Fischers to Agate, by mid afternoon few boats were seen,"either they filled out (which I doubt) or they went in for lunch (but why would ya if they were biting).

Then by 5pm more folks appeared on the water, everyone was searching and cruising, not one fish that we could see was boated? We headed towards the humps, no fish, then to Agate reef, no fish?..

I truely have come to the conclusion that Mille Laces is in grave trouble folks, not because we are great fishermen by any means, but for this time of year and the perfect water temps anyone would've/should've boated 20,30 or more fish for this time of year.

PS~WORMS!!!

Our two keepers~ went to clean our two fish and they were spewing "raman noodles" from their mouth? Never seen wormy walleyes on Mille lacs before, these nasty critters were long, flat and white,my thoughts were tape worms, but these worms were not segmented.

Any ideas what they are?
