Talked to a family friend up there and they have been out fishing North Lida quite a bit these last few weeks.  They have been using Lindy's tipped with leeches or crawlers.  They havent seen much of a difference between the two.
He was saying they have been catching walleyes a little deeper in around 16 fow but really anywhere between 10-20.  Largest being caught 24" - a few in the slot (17"-26" i think is the protected range), but also alot of eaters.  They were throwing spinners off the rocks early afternoon and getting into some nice Smallies and pesky Northerns - with the occasional largemouth too.  Alot of different species - they have had no trouble filling the pan with bluegills and no crappies over 11" so none big enough to keep.
The fishing has picked up recently - last week there was a mayfly hatch so fishing seemed to be a little slow during that time.  The weather has been really nice these past weekends and it seems like Lida is starting to pick up.  Alot of big walleyes out there in the slot and also above the 26" mark.   :fishing2:
