Lake Geneva Report 6/10/10

Slowly but surely I'm catching up on my fishing reports. Before you know it I may even give a report on time, but don't hold your breath. On 6/10 I fished with Roy Herman and his crew once again. The wind was non existent and the sky's were clear. Instead of only picking up one or two fish per spot as in the last few trips we were averaging three fish per spot. That was a good sign of things to come as the bass have started visit their regular haunts in numbers.

Hopefully they will now manage to settle down and develop a regular pattern. It's a lot more productive when you don't have to run and gun all over the lake. Looking at our numbers we caught a lot more Smallies today along with a few jumbo Gills. The two best smallies were 20'' and 19.5". Things are starting to look up even with the number of recent storms during the days and nights. Water clarity is still not at it's peak with a slight greenish tint cutting down on the sunlight penetration some.

For whatever reasons there seems to be less anglers on the water this spring. Not sure why that is or maybe it's just my imagination. Anyhow no complaints here. I'm looking forward to the weekend since I've got 2 days off. Crawlers were what we were using today with the favorite depth being 18 ft.

See ya on the water,

Lee
