DNR replacing Black River Bridge
(Released June 24, 2010)

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will begin removing and replacing the Black River Bridge this month. The Black River Bridge is located one-half mile south of County Road 32 on Town Road 100 in the Pine Island State Forest in Koochiching County. It is about 10 miles southwest of Loman. Construction of a new bridge at the same location will be completed by Sept. 15. The public will not be allowed near the construction site during bridge removal and reconstruction. People must honor all signs and barricades placed along the roadway. Questions should be directed to DNR Forester Kyle Anderson at 218-278-6651.
