After changing the sd card on the camera and freshening up the mineral lick I had this doe stop in and check out what I had done.  I almost missed how quickly she showed up after I had left.

I guess it just shows you how much you miss when you use a quad instead of just walking.  I have bumped this doe and her fawn from the area (while walking)the last 4 times I have changed out the sd cards.  They usually just run about 50 yards and stop and watch me.  The last 2 times the doe didn't even blow.

She is a very young doe and not yet to wise.  You could call it baiting if there were jelly donuts involved.  I started this mineral lick this spring and the hole is over a foot deep.  I would fill up the sd card with over 2000 pictures in less than 3 weeks.  The mineral lick is less than 10 yards from a small watering hole. :happy1:  The hole has since dried up and now the deer are not comming every day.  Lesson learned-Dig the water hole deeper.  We are planning to do it after deer season.
