I shot my first buck sunday night.  He was only a spike but he is still my first buck. He tipped the scale at 142 pounds.  I'll have to have my dad show me how to post pics.  He was eating rye grain on one of the new plots that I helped dad put in this summer.  125 yard double lung and a short 30 yard track job.  Hopefully I will be able to get a bigger one the 3rd weekend.

I almost forgot dad shot 3 does sat. morning. the biggest one weighted 140 pounds.  He thinks she was pretty old and is sending the teeth in the find out its age.

Make your first shot count, it might be the only one you get.

Nice job Kid, congrats on your first buck and making a great shot!!!   :happy1:
As said, no matter the size, its a big accomplishment!  It was only a few years ago that I got my first buck....
Here is the mount of mine :reporter;  (It looks alot bigger in the pictures too... but I am still proud of it, we all must start somewhere)

The first buck is something us hunters dont forget!  :deer:

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

Congrats on that buck, kid#1! Awesome! MT, I also did the same thing with my first buck, which was a little fork rack. Great memories!

Very nice deer - and if I my eyes are right, that is a pretty good shot as well (I would assume its somewhere in the rustled hair)   :happy1:

She missed both shoulders and saved the meat. He was standing perfectly broadside. Double lunged him.  The hole in the brisket was from when he was strugling to get back over the barbed wire fence with no air in his lungs.  If you look at the picture closely she isn't actually touching the deer.  She is standing about 2-3 feet behind him.  Made him look like he was 200 pounds.
