Last night on the way home from deer hunting, I ask my son "do you hear something odd?".  Yes, I hear something but don't know what it is.  As we continued on I said it sounds louder.  I don't think it's a trailer tire because I don't feel anything strange.  Remember driving on back roads there is little or no light.  A bit later my son says, I don't know if it's the safety chains but I see sparks out back.  As I slowed down I could hear the trailer rim running on the tar.  I pulled over in a driveway and we inspected the damage.  My son said  (for those who don't know it's a quote from A Christmas Story).  "it was actually a tire in the academic sense only. it was round, and had once been made of rubber."  Even though we were kneeling in the snow, it was pitch black out and it was near 0 degrees, we both busted out laughting.  Good news was, I found some lighting, had a spare with air, had a floor jack (it's been under the back seat for 7 years), had the correct lug wrench (Half inch breaker bar with extended socket just for trailer) and the nuts came loose.  Tip for everyone - Every year I take off the trailer tires and put a dab of grease on the studs.  Last night I was very happy I had done this.
***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

If science fiction has taught me anything, it's that you can never have enough guns and ammo when the zombies come back to life... "WS"
