Tribune reported Sunday

The team will reportedly announce on Monday or Tuesday the decision to remove Frazier's interim tag.

Frazier has held the post since Nov. 22 when the Vikings fired then coach Brad Childress after a miserable 3-7 start to the season.

Minnesota has since gone 3-3 under Frazier, including a surprising victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16.

"I'd love to be back here and working with our team and the familiarity I have with this organization,” Frazier said Friday. “We'll just have to wait and see what happens."

The official title will be Frazier’s first full-time position as a head coach in professional football. The 51-year-old former Chicago Bears defensive back has been an assistant coach for four teams in the NFL dating back to 1999.
