Excuse my ignorance here. What license do I need for my portable this year? Is it the dark house license?

BiggA, portables do not need to be licensed unless you plan on leaving them on the lake / over night un-attended.

They do however need to be identified with an name and address or driver license number.

I thought that was the case. But I had heard this year they changed it back to where you had to license them.

Don't need a license unless you leave it on the ice unattended between midnight and one hour before sunrise.
