May 1st
Defrosted the freezer yesterday and found the last bag of dehydrated morrel mushrooms from last spring.  I rehydrated them and made a very taste venison hot dish.  What does May first have to do with this you ask.  Well May 1st is the average date that I find my first morrel of the year.  The count down has begun.
