A month ago I started my quest to find a few big bucks to hunt this fall.  I put one of my trail cams in a new spots well off the beaten path.  South side of a ceder bog next to 100 acres of year old slashing in a 50 yard wide bottle neck.  Here is the biggest surprise.I sure hope I get drawn for a bear tag this year.

That is an impressive bear. Now you just gotta figure out out to sneak into his house without alarming him. It is an accomplishment to get him on film no matter what.

A collar wouldn't stop me!!!
Maybe Mr Rogers should try to put a collar on him.

I,m hoping for a bad berry and nut crop so his empty stomach will get the better of him. :fudd:

Last fall I left a half full barrol of baking sweets at my land.  I went there yesterday and saw that a bear had been trying his darndest to get in the steel barrol.  He must have had some idea how because he bent the locking handle in half and rolled the barrol all over the place.  I wish I had a camera on it.   :rotflmao:

I put the cam back out and this little guy came by and promptly removed the cam from the tree the day after I put it back out.  So the answer to your question is, NO I do not have any more pics but I did fix the camera(gota love ducttape).  Hopefully I get some more pics.

Bottom pic is the last pic the cam took.
The cam is 5-6 years old,  The lcd screen is broken,  To many mosquitos to spend the extra time putting screws into the tree.
And was to lazzzzy. ;D

Bears are very inqusitive.  Never handle bear bait prior to working with your camera.  If the camera has any food smell on it, the bears will try to open it.  lol.
