With duck season a week earlier who's getting out for youth opener and where you going? How about regular season what are your plans?

Girls aren't old enough to go for the youth opener but I sure as heck am getting antsy for the regular opener! :dancinred: ;D :happybounce: :rocker;

Finished the boat blind a week ago, finishing the goose decoys today and will be scouting for the early goose opener in the next night or two. Hopefully this front coming in will give us some cooler temps for saturday morn...hate sitting in the warm air hunting waterfowl. As far as the duck season goes, I'll be heading north of Winnie as usual to try and get some mixed bags filled with Red and Finnpower. Still gotta go through about 120-130 duck decoys and make sure they are all up to snuff with weights, strings and paint.

Favorite time of the year for me....been waiting since the close of last year to get back out on the water.
Going South......in a manner of speaking!

no plans on youth season.. but regular season is just around the corner and i cant be more excited. early goose and dove are this weekend. i already painted my duck boat, and nearly finished with my blind. still have to take the full body goose decoys out and spray them down to get the dust off them. gotta make sure that all the other decoys have the right amount of string and they have weights on them. one goose floater needs to have its head super glued on(cracked it when putting it together so now it dont hold)
