Same plan, except I'd like to leave earlier on Friday and get some sleep this time. Last year we left at 1am, drove all night and hunted all day, I was too tired by mid afternnoon for anything.

So, how did the hunt go? Any pics or good stories?

I did get one pic sent to me of Mayflys new dog, he said the new vest is waterproof too.  ;D

The look on the dogs face says it all. Poor dog.

The hunt went well. The birds didn't fly to well because it was wet, but I think everyone had a good time. I actually only made a couple passes through our field, because I was sicker than he!!. >:(
The food was all very good. Well worth the $5. Over all Val and her crew did a great job.

Thanks Joe for organizing the hunt, I hope all the money worked out for you.

My neighbor and I had a blast, Paul said he wants in on the next one as well.

That rain was a bummer but we all made it safe, and had some birds to cook up as well.

Everything worked out fine once we figured out they released 6 more birds than we ordered. ;)

I don't think there is anything planned yet, but that doesn't mean we can start planning it.

I just talked to Rick at Glendorado and he still has plenty of birds.

$15 a bird or $13.50 for 5 or more.

There is a lot of snow right now, but by Monday it should be fine.

Who else is interested?.......Spinach?.......Mayfly?

I'd be in too, but only after ice out. These next 5 weeks are the best fishing of the year.

I'm in for sometime in April, otherwise I'll have to pass.

Thats kinda funny because Spinach and I were taking today and also thinking that would be a perfect time to have this happen.  This is pretty much the only down time during the year where you really don't get much hunting or fishing done.  This would be a good time killer.

I think most places are pretty much done for the season or very low on birds. It may be a bit too late to get something together. I know I can't committ as the next few weeks I will be busy and then it is fishing opener. Maybe have to hold off and do a fall pre-season warm-up at the preserve. I will see to it.

I know that Glendorado was thinking they'd be out of birds around mid April. You may want to call around and see if anyone still has birds.

I am headed to Sand Pine Pheasants on sunday so I know they have birds. I did not set this up so I don't know how many are left. They are located in Avon Mn so you could try them if you like.
