Things started pretty slow for the deadeye clan.  Everyone was seeing plenty of deer, just not the right one at the right time.  During the season we hunted 6 full days and 2 half days.  We had between 3 and 7 hunters depending on the day.  In all we saw approxmitaly 120 deer, with at least 1/4 being bucks.  Lots of small bucks, spikes, forks, 6's and a few small 8's.  We were also seeing some nice bucks but for one reason or another (too early, too late, too much brush, too far) didn't get a shot.  As it was, we started the last Saturday's hunt with just the two does that I had shot.  Saturday morning I had a doe run by at about 50 yards followed by the 10 point pictured below.  Saturday evening my brother in law turned around to see a big 9 point 30 yards away just staring at him.  He had a few tense moments while attempting to get his gun into a shooting position without having the buck blast out of there.  He succeeded and got a beauty.   My son's nephew shot his second deer (a nice doe on Sunday morning.

My 10 point - 196 pounds

My brother in laws 9 point - 210 pounds
