Any one been up to cass lake spearing yet?

 Just wondering if anyone from this site has been up to cass lake since they opened it to spearing now?  I know some guys heading up and will let you know how they did wewhen I get a report.

nope, i havent, and not plannin on it. i was however asked to go this week then  to the 3rd river. but gotta work. rumor has it you might be able to see the guys deke in the fishhouse next to ya though!

Third river is a awesome time  usually get some dandys out of there.

Cass was real slow I guess  3 nords for eleven guys. Water was clear  I guess  really really clear, lol

i talked to a few guys that where up on cass the weekend of the 10th. they seen quite a few fish. also said there where people cuttin holes from sunrise to sunset! also the rumor of a huge one taken.

I heard they had netted like 12 or 1500 either pounds or number?  out of the bay these guys were spearing and they were all like 2lbs small nords. Guess they netted them this summer dnr Im guessing. So size might be an issue if theres that many small fish.
