Any news on Rush Lake lately?  We have the last contest out there this weekend and we won't have time to pre-fish.  We know we can put 6 bass in teh boat for around 13lbs...  Hopefully we get that one kicker fish.  Then to fill out the 3 Pike and maybe a walleye for a bonus point or two...

How is the trolling bite out there on the weed edges?  If you want to keep it secret PM me...  Thanks.

I know there is a giant Muskie in there. A good friend of mines buddy guides for Muskies and they hit that lake a lot. Well I guees he has seen this fish a couple times and it is huge. I can't remember the story but I think he had a smaller norther hooked and this giant fish went at the northern. He claims this thing is in the upper 50's pushing 60. The guy guides muskies for a living so he obviously knows his fish. He knows where the fish lays and has seen him a couple times. Cast, cast, cast...nothing yet.

We hooked one three years ago fishing for bass in the shallows...  This thing pushed 45 and went airborn after it was hooked spitting the jigworm.  The Medium Light rod and spinning reel was no match...

To say it was slow, is a huge overstatement.? One 14" bass and one 20" pike was all we could weigh...? We did have a ~30" pike lost boatside but it woudl not have counted because of the pike slot out there.? Then a 5lb sheepshead gave us thought that we had a nice bass on, just for a disappointment.? The winners had 6 bass for 11.5lbs.? The water was pea-soup green and 74 degrees...? 2" of rain the night before didn't help either.?

Oh well we had more fun on the river catching smallies and redhorse out fo a canoe...? ;D
