Do you have to clean up your mineral sites before the hunting season starts in MN?

How do you like the Bushnell Camera and which one do you have?  Looks like it takes very decent nighttime pics.  I already have 9 cameras out but would like to expand that to 12 as I've got approximately 800 acres to cover.  Usually I move the cameras around a bit during the year but it would be nice to just put them out and leave them in one spot all season.  I used to have a Reconyx, which I loved but I sold it in order to expand my coverage area (I was able to get 4 cameras with the money I got selling the 1).  However, most of the cameras I have are low/medium in picture quality and it would be nice to have one or two that take clearer pics to put on some of the "hot spots", or areas that I typically get more pics of deer.

I've been lazy and just got around to putting my cameras out last week.  I usually get them out at the end of June but just had so much going on this past month I never got a chance (haven't even been able to go fishing for crying out loud!!).  I checked them after 3 days just to make sure that they were all working and apparently I forgot that one had been set on video mode instead of photo.  So I got this:

It's still on video mode and I'll change it back next time I get out there.  Videos always eat up batteries.

Edit -

Thought I'd list what cameras I have in case anyone wanted to throw suggestions out there:

Moultrie M-80 (2) - Not worth the $ IMO
Primos Truth Cam35 (2) - Not bad for the price.  Decent cameras, actually.
Spypoint G4 (1) - Battery life is awesome.  Pics OK.
Cuddeback Capture (1) - If the deer does some breakdancing moves it might take a pic.  I don't like this camera.
Cuddeback Excite (1) - Old flash model.  Probably my best camera for pic quality.
Stealth Cam (2) - I don't remember the model on this but they were really cheap, and perform that way too.

I'm looking at Bushnell, Covert and a few others.  Would like to get 3 more total.  Problem is pricing.  3 Bushnells would be fairly hard on the wallet.  One Bushnell and a couple of decent $50 - $70 cameras (if there is such a thing) might be do-able.  The Covert CA3 looks interesting as well.

Sorry for the long rant.  I suppose I could have left it at "how do you like them Bushnell cameras" but I got a tad carried away.....

Omin24Eagle,
Here is a report on the Bushnell camera.  I posted this on 2/13/11.   Note: Although at the end I indicated I would probably not buy another one, I did buy another one.  I have gotten better at picking and setting up camera spots so I'm happy with the cameras.

I too am starting to look for another trail camera.  Last fall I bought a Bushnell "Trophy Camera" model 119425 from Cabelas.  Although I am happy with the camera performace, things that could be better.  Note: I think they have a new model Trophy Camera on the market today.  Mine has 24 LED's and uses a 4GB card.  The new one has 32 LED's and uses a 16GB card.
First the good.
1. Not to spendy - I bought it on sale and use one of their frequent 20% off coupons.
2. Small (3"X5") size is easy to put in pocket and less noticable in the woods.
3. Excellent battery life.  Uses 8 (or 4) AA batteries.  I had it out from some time in August till early November and did not change batteries.
4. Relatively easy to use and set up.
5. Really good day pictures
The not so good.
1. Remember to Format (in the camera) the SD card prior to use.  I think the biggest complaint I've seen is people saying the camera too 1000's of pictures, all blank.  This will happen if you do not format the SD card in the camera.
2. Short range IR mode.  This may be why the new model has more LED's.
3. Not the fasted trigger speed.  Recommend to point down a trail to get the animal coming or going to avoid half a deer.  Not a problem if you put at a scrap or salt lick.
4. Hard to see data on the digital setup screen.  May only be a my problem with old weak eyes.
5. Blurry pictures of deer moving at night in IR mode.  Maybe better with new 32 LED model.

The big question is would I buy it again?  Well, being this is my first digital IR camera and I am satisfied with it, I problably would not buy another one.  Not that this one is bad, but I would like to have a different model because you never know if something else would better fit what I like.

Played in a golf tournament this morning in Park Rapids and I happened to win a $50 gift certificate to Wal-Mart so after the tournament I swung by to see what they had for cameras.  There wasn't much, but they did have a Primos Truth Cam 35 (old version) on the shelf for $70 so I scooped it up.  Now I have 3 of those.  Put it out right away and decided to check the others while I was at it.  Not a ton of stuff going on but I did pick up these pics:

I have a couple Bushnell Trophy cams Bone collectors and love them. I also have a Scout guard SG550  that I like. They are small so they don't stick out as much. I almost think putting them over a mineral site scares the big boys away after a while. You can see by the pictures they hear somthing. After a couple visits they seem to disapeer. The does and fawns keep coming.

My Bushnell cameras are silent, however, at night the IR bulbs glow red and the deer do look at them.  Reaction, some go to get a closer look and others beat it out of the area.  Next camera I get will have the invisible IR.

I have a few moultries, that take good pics during the day and decent ones at night. i HAD a Wildgame innovations camera that i got from gander f0r 99.99. i liked it alot, it took nice pics at night and during the day with good battery usuage, but it wasnt even a year old when it shorted out. i have a old wildveiw i think its called. not a bad camera, slow on the trigger speed but takes ok photos.

we have 2 wildgame cams which take good picks when they decide to work. they are very finiky and sometimes will take a million pics of nothing, take pics as it should, or take none at all. good cameras, just need to fix the motion detectors. we walk by them and half the time it doesnt take a pic. our cuddy back are great except that one got ripped off last winter. a bit spendy to replace and IR flashes red. with all the technology in cameras today you think they could make a simple dependable IR camera(no noise, good trigger speed) for a reasonable price. especially with the game cams catching on so quickly.
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

I think the problem with the WGI cams is that the trigger speed isn't as fast as they advertise.
