That's entirely up to you.  Nothing wrong with taking the biggest buck you've seen so far.  I don't think he's very old.  I don't know your situation so I can't say wait for this one to get bigger because maybe there is zero chance of that.

I say 1.5 to 2.5 at the most..  will be a nice deer if ya got that option i would personally let him live this year

I would pass on him. He needs 2 more years.

it depends on what you would be happy with. if you feel like its worth taking then take him. personally i would let him go, but i have managed our land to have big bucks and now by passing the smaller ones i get to chase the big boys. i would bet theres a few on the property much bigger than this guy, there always is. you just have to put in the time to find him.

Ive been hunting this piece of property for about 5 years now but just recently purchased it 2 years ago. I have talked to land owners surrounding me about managment and none of them seen interested. They shoot whatever comes in. This make my case a little difficult. Its only a 37 acre piece of land and probably 10-15 of it is wooded. This is by far the biggest buck I have seen on camera in these past 5 years. Always small ones and they are around for a year or 2 and I dont see them again. I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Shoot em. This, you can't shoot a buck until he is 17 and has 1400" of antler crap has to stop. If the deer will make you happy, then shoot it. I personally will be shooting anything that doesn't have spots.

wischunter08,
You are in a bit of a pickle when it comes to managing the heard.  You probably don't have enough propery to do it your self and from the looks of it, your neighbors arn't interested at this time.  Maybe things will change in time.

some people would pass some will shoot, i hunt 2 different propertys and i do practice QDM so these guys get a pass from me for atleast 2 more years. i know it isnt for everyone. but if you feel this is the deer you wanna put your tag on it. i say go for it, nothing wrong with that. but if you decide to pass, you cant have any regrets about it later in the season. the whole thing about your neighbors will shoot it if you pass, well thats probably true, but what if he doesnt leave? what if he never goes by them when they on stand? theres to many things that take play into something like that. we get some big deer on cam and one on the ground every year. by letting the small ones go, even though the neighbors will blast everyone they see. ya have to let the little ones go to get bigger ones, thats just how it is. i mean ya could luck out by having a giant walk past ya on any given day, but what chance is that. id rather take my own actions and help my odds... ok sorry about the rant lol
