The MTT tournament wrapped up with a successful championship this weekend on Lake of the Woods.  Congrats to Mike Christensen and Eric Nesius on winning.  The champs had a total weight of 34.15 lbs.   Big fish for the tournament was a whopping 11.99 lbs, landed by Bob Carlson and Brad Hawthorne.  More than 20 walleyes over 28 inches were boated by tournament anglers!  Thanks to Mike and Renee Holt for running a first class tournament, and special thanks to all the fishermen and women who make events like this possible.

The wind made fishing a little more difficult this week.  Fishing was good when anglers could get to deeper, cleaner water.  Shiners and jigs are once again the presentation of choice.  The most popular depth is between 30 and 32 feet.

We have a chance of showers for most of the upcoming week, with highs expected in the 50s.  Dare I say that fall is here?
