what do you use for walleyes suckers,shinners, fatheads, or crappie minnows ?

ok walleye gurus, this time of year what should a guy use to target wallygators???? got me plenty of leeches, should i use nite crawlers or minnows??????

     Minnow bite should be picking up soon.  I use shiners when I can get them.
