The opening weekend my dad, cousin and his boy were the only three hunters in camp. This first picture below is a picture of them on opening day! My dad and my cousin did not have doe permits. My dad had a doe walk right under his stand on Saturday of the opener, and had another walk by him on Monday.

Late Wednesday night I arrived with my two boys after a 10 1/2 hour drive from South Dakota. We got up early and my younger boy (O man) shot a spike buck while sitting with my dad. The next picture is O man with his spike and then his dance after getting the first deer of 2012. My older boy (Jakergreen) also had a doe and a spike chasing her go by his stand but chose not to shoot.

We had my aunt, my sister, my grandma, and a couple friends arrive on Thursday night. My aunt shot a nice doe and my buddy also shot a nice doe. I included a couple other photos of most of the group below.

Jakergreen had another deer go by his stand on Sunday afternoon. When he was bringing his gun up it took off running. We had others that saw deer but didn't have clear shots, or kicked them up as they walked into their stands. My grandma watched a lynx for 20 minutes.

The last day (Monday) my dad was sick so my two boys and I went out after a fresh snow fall and saw a lot of fresh tracks. We had to leave to head back home to South Dakota so we didn't get to stay in the wood past 9 am. The last picture is me and my two boys.

We are back in South Dakota and both my boys have West River deer tags to fill. We went out yesterday (which was Saturday) and saw four doe. This morning we went out and only saw a lot of grouse. This afternoon we went out and my older boy (MNO username JakerGreen) shot his first West River buck. It is an 8 pointer. Here is a picture.
