About 10 am today we got a stiff SE wind, and now you better bring the hovercraft. There is about a 100 yd. lead ot there about 1/4 mile from shore. Yesterday the ice was 7" almost everywhere and there was some fishermen. Now we will need some colder weather or a slight west breeze to bring it back. I will keep you posted.

not sure I understand pff, you mean the ice blew away from shore?
I was wondering about that today as the 60 foot spruce trees across the road leaned hard in the breeze.
I was hping the small lakes around here that just froze over would hold up to the winds.
take a kid hunting and fishing!!

Ice is all gone this morning >:(. What the hay! Looks like it might be mid to late next week before we get out again, according to the forecast. So maybe we will have a chance to get real good ice the second time around.

We walked out about 30' on the south side today, there was about 4" of crappie ice.  I hope it freezes up smooth this year compared to last year when it was so rough.

7 plus inches everywhere out on the lake... just have to get over the ice wall.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?
