Minnesota lawmakers to introduce bill to stop wolf hunt.
Legislation is expected to be introduced at the state Capitol today to place a five-year moratorium on Minnesota’s wolf hunting season and call for other options for wolf population control.

go figure all the rum dums responsible for introducing this bill are all from the metro area.

i say we trap what??? 40-50 of these wolves they wanna protect and plant them in the 494-694 corridor!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“This is about fairness and doing the right thing for the majority of Minnesotans that do not want a wolf hunt,’’ Eaton said in a statement released this morning. “Rushing to a recreational wolf hunt immediately following their delisting from Federal protections is not in the best interest of our state and it does not reflect our state’s values. Minnesotans want to have a reasonable dialogue on this issue and a five-year wait will allow us to determine how best to manage our wolves responsibly.”


We had 35 years while they were on the endangered specis list to think about what would happen after why do we need another 5 years?



What other options are there for keeping the herd of wolfs  "in check"?

yes lets let the people who want to look at them from thier car window when they drive up north and in pictures from magazines they read, take the lead on managing the populations!?!?! how about the guys and gals that have spent the last 35 years researching/collaring the current populations in MN decide! sounds like a no-brainer to me. the reason they delisted the wolves was to be able lower thier population (management), not sport hunting.
