Here is my current setup as some backround...

My River Stick (for Mississippi River Smallies, Lg Mouth, Pike, etc): Shimano Stradic CI4 2500 on a St. Croix Premier 7' Medium Rod
My Light Setup (Spring Panfish, Shore/Float Fishing): Shimano Sedona 1000 on a St. Croix Premier 6'6" Lite Rod
My Cheap Beater Setup (Walleye, Rough Conditions): Daiwa XiA Regal 2000 Rod/Reel Combo

My question is...What am I missing, what setup could use some work? I need some birthday ideas for my family and am unsure what reel or perhaps rod I should consider. Should I consider an ultra-light instead of my light set-up? Should I replace my cheaper Daiwu setup. What would best compliment my current arsenal?  Should I man-up and finally attempt a baitcaster?

Thanks guys and gals.
