    • Fishing & Hunting South Dakota's Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe
I fished a great bunch of guys the Pat Jedrzejczr group from North Platte Ne. for two days on Oahe and one day on Sharpe and then started my next trip down at the bend fishing Matt and Nancy Lyne from Broken Bow Ne. on Oahe we had one very good day catching all of the over fish and limits of under fish but had trouble getting bigger fish on day two. We caught real nice 15 to 19 inch fish on both of the trips down to West Bend. At the bend we put most of the fish in the boat fishing in around 20 fow with night crawler/bouncer or gulp rigs however with the Lyne's we pulled some flicker shad plugs in 10 fow for the bigger fish. The days we fished Oahe we stayed in around 14 to 30 fow fishing with bouncer crawler or bouncer gulp rigs. I would still describe the bite both place as very good for numbers of the walleye but especially on Oahe some days you can have trouble getting to the bigger walleye. Leech's and minnows both work along with plug trolling so take your pick if you have a favorite presentation. From the Dam all the way to Mobridge and from Pierre all the way to the bend the walleye are biting.
