Here's a few repairs/upgrades I made on my old Lund.

I'm not a very handy guy like many of you are but, I'm not bad at making something out of nothing using scrap stuff I've collected over the years (slop artist Lee).

Doing some upgrades on our old 16 ft. Lund that’s used for vacations only in the BWCA. So, I picked up two new Lund seats on Saturday. I just purchased the standard seats and they sure are expensive. $200.00 each plus tax.
Two years ago when I looked at them they were made in Canada and they were very light and cheesy. This time they were made in Mexico and looked nicer but, were still cheesy compared to the original seats.

I just had to have my lower unit replaced while in Ely for $995.48. The good news is my insurance just sent me an e-mail and they stated that they will be sending me a check for $745.48. Bought new tires, wheel bearings, and replaced tail light on trailer.

Next is a new depth finder since I had to rent one the last week of vacation. My Eagle died of old age. The carpet on the boat has been splitting at the all the intersecting joints so I managed to cover all those areas with some trim and now you'd never know. I had to repair the area where the depth finder mounts to the boat since the wood got all spongy and wouldn't hold the screws. I also replaced the depth finder bracket with an adjustable extended swing arm.

The cubby hole storage compartment in the bow of the boat has a vinyl cover that's in bad shape and snaps kept breaking. So I replaced the opening cover with a Plexiglas hinged door. It works out great and I should have done that years ago. I've taken a few photos of the stuff I did. I'm hoping it holds up for a few more years.
