FYI,the feds are cracking down on party hunting(waterfowl) and bird piling as they call it or "co-mingling of birds" meaning all the photos taken of birds piled up after a hunt is illegal, they want each hunter to have a seprate pile of claimed birds when hunters are checked..

To me its kinda micro managing and nitt pickin, hopefully with the gov't shut down these field agents will give it a rest for now,but if things get back to normal, beware.

I am not going out.
Had a group of buddies just get back - they did very well, cant remember the numbers of each, but they all came home with a limit of some sort.  They seem to be flying as usual.

The locals I know from nodak said the onslught of non-rez this season really put a spank on the local population, mostly brown ducks, they tell me after the 1st 5 days you were hard pressed to find any puddle ducks left,in fargo they said it was a non-stop boat parade from wednesday through saturday, mostly blue platers with a mix of scony hunters. Now its a waiting game for the migration to kick in,however folks north of Kenmare said they have seen the 1st small groups of snows roll in,thats a start.

Lot of people like to blame non-rez but duckies in ND like to blow south after being shot at or not!  Ducks on my place haven't been shot at, as I was in Canada, and have also blown south!!  Best brown duck story is the friend of mine said to me all he got were brown ducks he didn't want them so I said bring them over for me to eat.... they were all pintails, one gadwall....yum!!   Good luck if you come to Nodak!  BTW its just the Fed wardens that are giving hunters a hard time about keeping the ducks separate for hunters.

General,

Yup,I guess I'm a law breaker as well,I admitt it,but I can change,if iahve too,I guess...But I won't like it!Now,sodak does'nt have this law IF one is lucky enough to pull a non-rez waterfowl tag.
