After  a couple slower days on the crappies, the bite is back on, still 6  to seven miles out in the north shore area. A 46 inch northern was caught out there yest. One guy went out this morning and left about 11 am with a 10 fish  limit of crappies and a walleye limit of 2.  That big northern disgorged a big crappie when they got it on the ice. I imagine since there are a lot of crappies dying of old age that makes a nice snack for those big northerns.

pff,
do you have your houses all the way across on the north shore or just out west of you? or maybe both, reading of all these crappies that are coming in is getting hard to take.
