Gathering live bait prohibited James, Pipestem
Anglers and bait vendors are reminded that taking live bait fishes from the James River or Pipestem Creek is prohibited. This includes minnows and other aquatic baits.

Anglers and bait vendors are reminded that taking live bait fishes from the James River or Pipestem Creek is prohibited. This includes minnows and other aquatic baits.

The prohibition is an effort to reduce the possibility of silver carp being transported from the James and Pipestem to other waters in the state.

North Dakota fishing regulations prohibit gathering bait in any water infested with aquatic nuisance species including the silver carp. :police:
