Birds from the midcontinent population of light geese continue to multiply and damage their fragile Arctic breeding grounds despite extensive efforts to control them

Millions of snow geese will pass through North Dakota during the next few weeks, flying north from the U.S. Gulf Coast to their Arctic breeding grounds.

It was a fast migration this year,most likey the birds are in canada by now,but yeah,its a losing battle to keep their population in check,if they were better table fare it get more folks out in the spring,when this conservation hunt started the usfw service had plans to destroy the snow goose nests/eggs through out the tundra,"peta" filed a law suit against the usfw that stopped this program and here we are today with over 5million strong nesting snow geese in north america.
