I just recieved an order of soft plastics in the mail the other day and when I went to put them in my tackle box I realized I had no more room. I've got most of them organized in I guess what you'd call the standard plastic boxes, but I've got many of them still in the original zip lock bag floating around in my tackle box, the boat, and at home.

I had a binder type storage system with about 8 - 10 pouches, but it just isn't big enough.

I'd like to hear how some of the other members have organized their plastics.

I know what you mean when talking about no room. I wieghted my tackle (tool)box once, it came in at 45 lbs.

Well to the topic I had to limit things to certain colors. I decided to go with 3 colors white, yellow and black. My reason for this is I think that will pretty much cover most of my fishing applications. Now I do have exceptions to that rule. Plastic creyfish are the color that would be natural as are the lizard shaped ones. I don't have any plastic frogs as I use pork frogs. Thats the only thing I can think of is to limit urself to certain colors and or sizes, unless ya want to have a separate container for plastics. The key I think is a person wants to go light. ::)

Now on the subject of plastics, does anyone know of a company that makes plastics that are air impregnated? I had some and they worked great but now the company is out of business.

I have a gym bag full of plastic bags...  It isn't the easiest to find what you need, but by the time a event rolls around I know the 15 or 16 plastics I am using so I have them out of the gym bag or on top.  Now if the fish don't like those, I hook up one each piece of plastic on a hook and go at it...  ;D

I have 2 containers (like tupperware) I keep in my live well - a little bigger than a shoebox. Inside I have 1-gallon ziplock storage bags loosly organized by plastic type or species. I can fit 3 storage bags inside each container. It's not perfect but it's o.k. I also try to get rid of plastic stuff I don't use - give it to kids in the neighborhood or whoever wants it.
