      Minnesota’s early wolf season starts Saturday

Minnesota’s early wolf hunting season will open Saturday and run concurrently with the firearms deer season. In Series 100 deer permit areas, the wolf season will run through Nov. 23, and in Series 200 areas, the wolf season will run through Nov. 16. However, the season in any zone may close earlier if harvest quotas are reached in that zone.


The early season wolf harvest quota is 120, with 83 in the Northwest Zone and 37 in the Northeast zone.

The late wolf hunting and trapping seasons will run from Nov. 29 to Jan. 31 in all zones, unless the harvest quota is reached earlier in any zone, at which point that zone will be closed.

Eligible hunters and trappers for the wolf season already have been chosen through a lottery system.

I haven't herd the "anti's" propaganda as of late,nothin on the tube or radio.We'll see how this year plays out in time.

I heard it all weekend on the radio up by park rapids. them running there adds for save the wolves and that 80% of mn residents are against a wolf season  I know that two inlets store posted a picture online of a 95lb wolf that was taken in the state forest and there were a few antis on there whooping and hollering
