There are three weeks left in the trout season, both stream and lakers.  There is a lot of ice on Burntside, but not much snow.
If this warming front stays with the forecast, there shouldn't be much if any snow by the weekend, and portable shelters may not be necessary.
However, the plowed roads will begin to deteriorate rapidly, so ATVs should be the ticket for travel, as you will be able to go anywhere with them.
There was about 36+ inches of ice where I drilled a hole yesterday, so ice thickness should not be a problem for the next 10 days, or longer.
