Maybe Avian flu??

   I aint scouted much but we see no turkeys at all!! Stopped at some spots did yote howls,Gobbles with a box call,chirps with with reed NOTHING!! I mentioned even the normal spring birds are few an far between. The best spots we have seen numerious birds are void of any.Time to decide if I want to be licensed and get out with the crossbow??
 The area has a turkey, a wild one tested positive for avian flu two hawks found dead are being tested one a week ago was positive.Its as strange as the lack of spring birds,We see no turkeys now a days NONE! along with few spring migrants!
 The last 5-7 years Turkeys were seen almost daily,They seem to be gone!

Pretty much the same here.  I see very few in places they used to be plentiful. 
My son went last Thursday/Friday and saw two hens.  I have yet to see one on my property this year.

seen about 8-10 in the field just south of the broadway bar and grill in elk river this morning. looked to me like young jakes. there were none struttin there stuff!
