Fishing Report Lakes Oahe/Sharpe Pierre Area for 22nd thru 28th 2015

Fishing generally has toughened up some on both lakes. On Oahe it is harder to find the fish and on Sharpe in the Pierre area there are nice fish but not numbers. West Bend on Sharpe still putting out numbers but here size is smaller. I guided repeat customers the Jay Woofer group from Kansas to limited results and then took along with 6 other guides repeat customer Dow Agro Science group for a total of 3 days fishing both at west bend and in the Pierre area. We did manage limits of walleyes a big bunch of cat fish and some bass. This group is another favorite and is now ramrodded by Emma (Dow Agro) and Marty (Crop Production Service) replacing Lonnie Wann who has retired and missed by all. Just a great bunch of guys and gals and every one including guides had a great time. We caught most of the walleye in 20 fow or less on Sharpe and the Bait of choice was still bouncer/gulp or night crawler rigs along with some flicker shad plug trolling. Another example of company's paying for a vacation for both customers and employee's and all of us guides along with the resort appreciate the business. Then guided the White group to a limit of walleye on Sharpe and had a one fish short of limits on Oahe. Lot's of boats trying to break the record again for salmon but numbers aren't there.

Hutch
