You guys put a grin on my face  this thread sounds like a dollar store Hallmark card. Not going to win this fight but I am going to drag my feet all the way. The way it first sounded I was going to have just this summer to fish but now I might have a couple. Although this one is going to suck and I am not going to be a happy camper. Just as long as you guys promise not to rename the Rock Bass tourney into a memorial one.

Some good news bad news update

About a month ago I started feeling a heaviness in my left leg and about two weeks later on a Friday night the entire leg blew up and I was off to the hospital. Long story short I had developed a deep blood clot in my left thigh which kept me in the hospital for three days till I could adjust to a blood thinner. I will now be on a blood thinner for at least the next 90 days. It took me another week to find a pain killer that will let me tolerate the constant 24/7 pain from the clot. The pain feels like someone hit my thigh with a sledge hammer and it does not go away. Stairs are almost impossible to do by myself so add that to something caused by a side effect.

Good news is my kidney function has returned to almost normal and with it my blood pressure has returned as well as my heart beat has risen. This means the lightheadedness and dizzy spells have gone away ! Matter of fact I may even have to go back on pressure med to keep them in the normal range. My favorite fishing daughter has joined me as she had an mri done on her ankle and is now sporting a cast. The two of us now spent Friday nights together with our crutches and me with my walker having the wife wait on us. So I get one thing back under control and something else pops up. Didn't make fishing opener this year but I am still looking to get out sometime after the 4th I am hoping. Out of bed so I am back to posting again I just need to not spend much time sitting at a desk as that is bad on the blood clot.. Welcome to all the HSO guys that have drifted over to this site. you don't have to worry so much about making someone watch what you say here.
