Lake of the woods is well on it's way. wheelers and sleds have been out since thurs last week. I'm starting to hear about half ton trucks being allowed out but I think not trucks and wheel houses together yet, not certain on that though.

lake of the woods springsteel resort report from this morning. 12-13 inches of ice, warm weather has made the usual crack a bit of an issue. apparently it's about 200 yds off shore this year and yeah, I guess we will just have to see what it does.

They are letting sleds and wheelers out, no trucks yet.

talked to a fella dis morning that was up on leech lake spearing last weekend. not only did he say it was friggin cold, but the had 11 inches of rough ice. they where down in the whippole/bear island area!!!!!!!!!

High banks update for Winnibigoshish....
Ice Update**  We currently have 14" of ice.  However, we have a 3' wide crack at the bottom of the landing that we are addressing.  It needs about 5 days to heal.  Our access is closed until Monday, Jan 2 to allow time for the crack to re-freeze.
