That's My greatest fear, Gunner.  May also have to call ahead to the place we're headed to just bring a gallon jug of it to our table....and all blue crayons with the coloring book, as boober suggested.  :cheesy: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

OK, where did you go?   I wanna know what I missed by fleeing the gray slop and heading to the land of sun and sea.

We went to Roosters...great, as usual. Beer battered onyum rings. Terrific Ruebens and sandwiches/burgers. Great service. Good prices.

So where is the secret recipe???

This may not be a great one but with tweaking to your own taste it can be.

 1.  Ketchup.   I buy the Aldi stuff for BBQ sauce.  (because it's cheap).  If you want 2 cups of BBQ sauce use 2 cups of Ketchup.
 2.  Brown sugar   use dark brown if you like a darker color to your sauce.    Amt.-  about 1/2 to 3/4 of the amt. of ketchup you started with.
 3.  Worcestershire sauce.   A good splash.
 4.  Liquid smoke-  a small splash
 5.  Salt
 6. Pepper or peppers or Tabasco depending on your taste.
 7.Garlic powder +onion powder
 8. White Vinegar.  This will add a tang and aftertaste that makes it all come together.  Start with a splash and go by taste.
 9.  Optional- soy, sesame,  Honey, splashes of white sugar.

I think that is the main features  of an easy homemade BBQ sauce that I make.   I really can't give you any exact measurements because I don't know if I have ever made it exactly the same twice.  I go by taste.  I don't like hot but I like it sweet and tangy.

Good luck.  Let me know if you try it.
