Darron Lee: New York Jets linebacker fined $45,000 for two plays.

New York Jets linebacker Darron Lee was fined more than $45,000 for two plays in last Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Lee was fined $36,464 by the NFL for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler and was docked $9,115 for a penalty in which he grabbed the facemask of Miami running back Jay Ajayi.

Lee took exception to the penalty call involving Cutler after the game. He said Cutler lowered his head at the last instant.

"I don't agree with it," Lee said. "They felt it was roughing the passer. I felt it was a sack." :moon:

Lee has been fined four times this season for a total amount of $72,925.

New York receiver Robby Anderson was also fined for throwing his helmet in the final seconds. He was docked $12,154.

LEE spelled backwards is EEL which is a code name that I sometimes go by. In the past I've also gone by the name EEL - LEE. That name was given to me by the folks of ELY MN. since I had spent over 40 yrs. visiting ELY every summer! Some claim that I'm as slippery as an EEL even though I've unsuccessfully tried to debunk that innuendo.

In essence what I'm trying to say is that it's hard to get a fair shake when you name is LEE! :banghead:
