Lake trout hatched when Richard Nixon was president

BAYFIELD, Wis. - State fish biologists conducting spawning surveys on Lake Superior hauled in a lake trout earlier this month that hatched when Richard Nixon was president.

Its amazing how long these fish live and other critters.We shot a giant 85lb carp that came outof bald eagle lake in the mid 90's,called the dnr thinking we had a state record piggy,they aged the fish@ 100 yrs old 52"s long/34"girth.Shot a couple banned snow geese years back,both banded in hudson bay area and shot in missouri,one was 18yrs old and the other was 21yrs  old,further research had snow geese aged up to 30yrs old.
