The pundits are giving us a B for this pick.  We need help at corner, D line, and O line.  We can't satisfy 'em all with one pick.

Read a report that he was high on their list, & of the positions they need help he was the best athlete available.. Uncertainty about Alexander ever figurin it out & Newman still wanting to play had a hand in it too, I read. Can play more than 1 spot & a pretty good return guy too, I like it, hard to be too deep at that position

“Quite honestly, I was asked that question on the radio, but we didn’t do it to push Mackensie [Alexander]. We’re just trying to get good football players in here and shake it out, and whoever ends up playing plays,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said after the draft. “I’m not married to anybody, so we just go out and try to get the best players on the field. Quite honestly in today’s NFL, with as much throwing as is going on, I could see four corners in the game at one time.”

Zim is right.  You can never have enough good cover guys.  And if this does light a fire under Mackensie Alexander, so much the better.

So, what is his criminal record?  Any pending charges?  (Just trying to see if he will fit in the NFL)

See he's got a couple minor scrapes on his sheet, 1(assualt) as a freshman at a UNC frat party. Charges were dismissed after some Community Service work. The other was a sexual assualt accusation where no charges were filed. He gives a lot of credit to his JC coach who spent time Virginia, Mn & Mankato, & had a few issues with the law when he was young too. He's not the biggest guy, barely 6' & 190 lbs, sounds like Zimmer was real high on him though.

I think Zim will keep him in check.  Seems like a good athlete.  I like it.
