i will be heading up sat morn i was thinking about fishing the narrows between gregs and fisher flats is this a good idea or not if not any other suggestions out of garrison never ice fished the lake befor (honestly)have a gps with card will be looking for perch and walleye any other suggestions such as depth,  colors, size type of jig or just plain anything i was thinking buckshot rattle spoons swedish pimples have a camera and vexi any help will be greatly appreciated  thanks

I'll be heading to the flats Saturday morning, not sure exactly where yet, but the flats are where you should start.

It sounds to me like you have the right gear allready, good luck.

Maybe some else can give you more detailed information, this is my first trip to Mille Lacs this year.

that spot by gregs and fishers you mentioned gets fished HARD on the weekends.  my advice would be try it but if it gets crowded, use your lakemaster card and find a spot away from anybody.   dont be afraid to fish a spot on the edge of a flat if it looks like no one is or has fished it.  as far as jigs go i have been doing good with just about any spoon, gold was key on wednesday but tuesday orange or chartruse was working tuesday.
