DULUTH - Fisherman's Corner, Scott, 7 miles north of Miller Mall on Hwy 53, www.fishycorner.com (218-729-5369)

Crappies are biting out on Boulder and Grand Lakes in 9 to 12 feet of water.  Perch are biting on Pike.  Still ice on Superior by 21st.  Use caution out on the ice.  Still getting some coho.

DULUTH - Marine General, 1501 London Road, on the edge of Lake Superior, www.marinegeneral.com (218-724-8833)
There is still some good ice on Superior.  Lake trout, white fish, herring and mostly cohos are biting out in 40 to 80 foot water on white and chartreuse jigs tipped with cisco.  Stay on this side of the Lester River out from the downtown.  Some nice crappies are being caught in the deeper water on the upper part of the St. Louis River.  There is about 16 inches of snow in the area.  Check with the shop for the latest fish and ice reports out on Lake Superior.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?
