From what I saw this weekend, the breeding has not started yet.  Little bucks are chasing and running their butts off but the big boys are nose to the ground checking for a hot doe.  Most does are not ready yet. I thinking this week things could really get hot.  This passed Saturday morning I saw 9 deer, 3 does, 1 fawn, 1 mature buck, 2 basket 8's and 2 small bucks.  The small bucks were running does, and the others were nose to ground, trying to sniff out a hot doe.  On Friday evening I watched a small buck "court' a doe by the cabin. She was not interested and eventually left the field.  He played it cool for a while and then moved off in her direction. I took the pictures out the window. It was fun watching the interaction but she wanted nothing to do with him.

this weekend was super quiet this weekend here for what I have seen so far..  and the folks I have talked too are all saying that...
a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work!!

My personal experience is every year is different and no matter how much I think I have it figured out. I am still wrong. There has not been much moving up here either in 105.

Where we are at (604), I seen a lot of chasing the week before season.
Lots of scrapes still. A few rubs.
Not sure where its at.
