After 4 months off due to my stroke I'm finally back to work.  The 1st 2 mo ths were hell. 3rd month had a lot of ups and downs and the 4th month was a steady improvement.  I still have double vision but I have had a few mornings where I had single vision for about an hour.  I can now look at my phone for 20  to 30 minutes without getting a migraine.   So I looked up the type of stoke I had and found out how lucky and unlucky I am.
40 to 50% of the people that have this stroke die.
Only about 200,000 people have this type of stroke per year.  Which is kind of weird because there were 3 people that were admitted to Abbott within 45 minutes of  me  being admitted. Same kind of stroke.

I feel blessed.  My wife has been my rock. She is an awesome wife and has been there every day.

Thanks guys.  This last month it was starting to feel like a retirement.  Plenty of free time to fish and hunt. Hopefully I can retire sooner than later.

Great news, hopin you continue to improve!! Oh by the way, thanks for the beavertail last winter. I've been using some of it ever since the surface temps started declining. Seems like the panfish, mostly crappies for me, really like it. :happy1:  Don't need a lot either as it doesn't go on or come off the hook easily. Thanks again!!

Darn good for you Jerry, that had to be a scary ordeal.  We should all appreciate every day we have.  Good lesson to us all!
